What Does the following Pathology Report Mean?
My husband had a liver cancer removed last Nov. Pathology report stated stage 1 . The cancer is in the right posterior upper lobe size 3.1cmx 2.2cm. Now he did a follow up MRI last february 8, as the result reveals that there is a hyperintense lesion size 4.9cmx4.3cm the lesion increasing the size. I would like to know what is this means. I need a peace of mind. I tried to call my husband surgeon to get a schedule appt. But our appt. Will next month in March.

The doctor has only mentioned "a hyperintense lesion size 4.9cmx4.3cm the lesion increasing the size". Was MRI performed with gadolinium contrast? The sign that it has increased is worrysome but i expected to find other radiology data to be sure. But i think too that your husband has to consult a surgeon.
